07:17 AM EDT, 06/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Humana (HUM) has told congressional staffers that it would support rules that would limit billing practices that add billions of dollars to health insurance industry revenue, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, citing a document.
The proposed changes would impact the Medicare Advantage business through which insurers offer privately run Medicare plans, the report said.
Under the proposed changes, limits would be placed on the payments insurers can get from diagnoses assessed by nurse practitioners who visit enrollees at home, the Journal reported.
WSJ said such payments totaled $15 billion over three years.
