06:09 AM EDT, 09/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Hyatt Hotels ( H ) , Hilton Worldwide Holdings ( HLT ) , and Marriott International ( MAR ) workers represented by the Unite Here union have concluded strikes in Baltimore and Seattle, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing the union.
Some 9,376 workers are still on strike in seven cities across the US, the report added, citing the union.
"Each city's strike will last one to three days," Reuters quoted the union as saying in a statement.
Thousands of workers from these three hotel chains in nine US cities went on strike on Labor Day, demanding "higher wages, fair staffing and workloads, and the reversal of Covid-era cuts," Unite Here said Monday.
Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott ( MAR ), and the union did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
