07:19 AM EDT, 07/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- IAC/InterActiveCorp (IAC) is considering an offer to take control of Paramount Global ( PARAA ) , Reuters reported Monday, citing a person familiar with the matter.

IAC has entered into non-disclosure agreements with National Amusements, which holds a controlling interest in Paramount, Reuters reported.

Paramount is also in discussions with other media and tech companies about merging its streaming platform Paramount+ with an existing platform, CNBC reported Monday.

Warner Bros Discovery ( WBD ) has expressed interest in a potential joint venture that would merge its Max and Paramount+, CNBC said, adding that ownership is unlikely to be split equally.

IAC, Paramount and Warner Bros did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
