03:55 PM EDT, 03/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- International Business Machines ( IBM ) is cutting jobs in its marketing and communications division, CNBC reported Tuesday, citing a person with knowledge of the matter.

According to the unnamed source, Chief Communications Officer Jonathan Adashek told the employees about the layoffs in a roughly seven-minute meeting.

The company did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.

IBM ( IBM ) shares were up 3.4% in recent trading.
