12:36 PM EDT, 08/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- IHS Holding ( IHS ) is working on a potential deal to sell businesses in Rwanda and Zambia, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

IHS plans to gauge the interest of potential buyers for the operations in the two countries, according to the report. Some proceeds from any sale would be used for debt repayment, the sources said.

The company is in early stages of deliberations and may opt to hold the businesses for longer, the people said, according to the report.

IHS did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
