05:52 AM EDT, 07/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- India's Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau, or AAIB, is expected to release a preliminary report this week regarding the Air India Boeing (BA) 787 Dreamliner crash that occurred nearly a month ago in Ahmedabad, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The initial findings, based on data from the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder, aim to spell out the cause of the June 12 accident, which killed 260 people, including 241 onboard and 19 on the ground, the report said.
Authorities are still investigating and are planning to issue a final report within 12 months, in line with international aviation norms, according to Bloomberg.
AAIB did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
