08:11 AM EDT, 05/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Intel ( INTC ) is preparing for increased demand for AI-capable consumer products as businesses seek alternatives to public data centers, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing Alexis Crowell, VP and CTO for Intel's ( INTC ) Asia-Pacific and Japan operations.
Intel ( INTC ) is seeking to integrate AI into various products, from computers to edge computing to software, as some companies are already moving public cloud data to private environments, the report said.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Crowell noted that the demand for traditional data centers will likely slow as organizations balance public cloud use with private data storage.
