08:56 AM EST, 12/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing ( TSM ) founder Morris Chang said Intel ( INTC ) should have prioritized artificial intelligence over its push to become a contract chipmaker, Reuters reported Monday.
At an event launching his autobiography, Chang said finding both a chief executive officer and a clear strategy "is very difficult," according to the report.
Intel ( INTC ) CEO Pat Gelsinger has stepped down and the company appointed David Zinsner and Michelle Johnston Holthaus as interim co-CEOs while it searches for a permanent replacement.
Intel ( INTC ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
