JD.com ( JD ) recently contacted Ceconomy regarding a possible deal and has begun engaging with the company's major shareholders, the report said.

JD.com ( JD ) had expressed interest in Ceconomy in late 2023, and current talks are ongoing with no certainty of a transaction, the report said.

A spokesperson for Ceconomy declined to comment, and JD.com's ( JD ) representative didn't immediately respond a request for comment, Bloomberg said.
