Market Chatter: JetBlue Seeks More Gateway Connections for Transatlantic Expansion
Sep 12, 2025 5:15 AM

07:43 AM EDT, 09/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- JetBlue ( JBLU ) is confident in its transatlantic strategy and is working to connect more passengers through Atlantic gateways as quickly as possible, Reuters reported Thursday, citing JetBlue ( JBLU ) President Marty St. George.

The carrier has shifted its network toward more profitable routes and is expanding service from southern Florida, according to the report.

"That balance of good sun markets in the winter and then European markets in the summer and fall, it's made for a very, very good profit portfolio for us," St. George told a conference, Reuters reported.

JetBlue ( JBLU ) said it plans to feed premium US travelers into gateway cities such as New York and Boston for onward service to Europe, the news outlet reported.

JetBlue ( JBLU ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
