05:01 PM EDT, 04/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Johnson Controls International ( JCI ) is exploring the potential sale of its access control and intrusion detection businesses worth up to $4.5 billion, Bloomberg reported late Wednesday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
The company will try to sell the businesses separately, but could also divest them to a single suitor, the people told the media outlet.
Discussions remain in an early stage, and the company might retain one or both units, sources told Bloomberg.
Johnson Controls ( JCI ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
