08:28 AM EDT, 10/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- JPMorgan Chase ( JPM ) is in discussions to resume physical liquefied natural gas trading, which the bank abandoned in 2014, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The bank has held talks to secure a long-term LNG supply with at least three Gulf Coast projects that are in development, the report said.
JPMorgan ( JPM ) and developers are looking to work on Commonwealth LNG and Energy Transfer's planned Lake Charles LNG facility in Louisiana, as well as Sempra Energy's expansion of its Port Arthur site in Texas, Bloomberg said.
JPMorgan ( JPM ), Sempra, Energy Transfer and Kimmeridge Energy Management, owner of Commonwealth, did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
