The timetable in merger investigations can be suspended if the parties fail to provide information within a prescribed deadline, Reuters cited the commission as saying in the email.

The investigation will resume after the companies have submitted the necessary information, according to the report.

Kellanova ( K ) and Mars did not immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
