Market Chatter: Ken Moelis to Step Down as CEO of His Bank

07:29 AM EDT, 06/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Moelis & Co ( MC ) Chief Executive Ken Moelis plans to step down from his post and assume the role of executive chairman, effective Oct. 1, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday, citing an interview with the CEO.

Navid Mahmoodzadegan, who is the company's co-president and one of the bank's co-founders, will likely take over as CEO and join the board. Jeff Raich, who is also co-president and co-founder, is expected to be executive vice chairman, according to the report.

Moelis did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
