12:18 PM EDT, 08/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Maravai LifeSciences ( MRVI ) has received an acquisition offer from Repligen ( RGEN ) , Reuters reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

It's uncertain if Maravai, which has a market value of $2.2 billion, will agree to Repligen's ( RGEN ) offer, and Repligen ( RGEN ) may consider selling some of Maravai's divisions if the deal proceeds, Reuters said.

Spokespeople for Repligen ( RGEN ) and Maravai did not immediately respond to Reuters' comment requests, the report said.

Neither companies immediately responded to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
