11:52 AM EDT, 10/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Marblegate Asset Management is in talks with state regulators on how it might acquire the assets of American Transit Insurance, New York City's insolvent taxi insurer, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

Marblegate hasn't made a formal proposal and is one of multiple entities that have contacted New York's Department of Financial Services about the assets, the report said.

Marblegate didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
