02:50 PM EDT, 03/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Match Group ( MTCH ) has attracted another activist investor who is now pushing for a revamp of its board, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
Anson Funds Management has bought a stake in the owner of dating apps Tinder and Hinge, though the size was not disclosed. Elliott Investment Management is the other activist investor in the company, according to the news outlet.
Anson met with Match's management team and board members and also suggested the use of artificial intelligence, according to the report.
A spokesperson for Match declined to comment to MT Newswires, while Anson did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
Match shares were nearly 1% lower in recent trading.
