07:20 AM EST, 11/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms' ( META ) chief artificial intelligence scientist, Yann LeCun, is planning to resign from the company to start his own venture, the Financial Times reported Tuesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

Sources told the newspaper that LeCun has disclosed to associates his plans to resign in the coming months, with a source saying he is also in early talks to raise funds for his startup.

Meta Platforms ( META ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
