12:00 PM EDT, 09/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) has formed a super PAC to fight state-level regulation that could hold back AI advancement, Axios reported Tuesday, citing a company statement.

Called the American Technology Excellence Project, the PAC will back candidates from both parties who embrace AI development and support the US technology industry, the report said,

The PAC will be run by Republican strategist Brian Baker and Democratic consulting firm Hilltop Public Solutions, the media outlet reported.

Meta spokesperson Rachel Holland said the company is investing "tens of millions" in the effort to counter what the company sees as poorly crafted state-level tech regulation proposals, according to the report.

The PAC will focus on defending US tech companies, supporting AI advancement, and advocating that parents should be in charge of monitoring their children's online experiences, the report added.

Meta did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
