07:24 AM EDT, 05/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) is mulling a paid version of its artificial intelligence-backed assistant Meta AI, The Information reported Thursday, citing an internal post.

The move mirrors offerings from Microsoft (MSFT) and Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL), both of which charge fees that give users priority access to their chatbots and allow for their use in workplace applications, the report added.

The Information said the features and prices of Meta's paid AI assistant could not be learned and that the company's plan could still change.
