03:16 PM EDT, 06/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) is seeking exclusive episodic and stand-alone immersive video content for a virtual-reality headset it plans to launch in 2026, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The company has held talks with major entertainment brands such as Walt Disney (DIS) and A24, as well as smaller production firms, to attract users to the new device.

The headset, internally known as "Loma", is expected to be priced below $1,000, the sources told the news outlet.

Meta didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
