01:58 PM EST, 11/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT ) Chief Executive Satya Nadella has appointed Rolf Harms as an advisor to help the company rethink and adapt to the new economics of artificial intelligence, Business Insider reported Wednesday, citing an internal memo.
Harms, a corporate vice president at the company who works under Cloud and AI head Scott Guthrie, played a crucial role in the company's cloud reboot over a decade ago, according to the report.
Nadella believes the company must reevaluate its AI business model, and this shift focuses on "building a new AI factory and family of Copilots and agents that drive diffusion and usage across the full stack," the memo stated, according to Business Insider.
Microsoft ( MSFT ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
