08:01 AM EDT, 06/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT ) has laid off over 300 additional employees, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing a Washington state notice.

The report said the move adds to the 6,000 job cuts disclosed last month as the company continues to tighten its costs while investing in artificial intelligence.

The specific roles affected in the latest round were not disclosed, according to Bloomberg.

As of June 2024, Microsoft ( MSFT ) employed about 228,000 full-time workers, with 55% based in the United States, it added.

Microsoft ( MSFT ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
