The FTC has issued a detailed request for information from Microsoft ( MSFT ) after conducting informal interviews with competitors and business partners for over a year, the people reportedly said.

The demand was sent to the company after approval from FTC Chair Lina Khan, according to the sources.

Antitrust lawyers plan to meet with Microsoft's ( MSFT ) competitors next week to gather further details, the report added.
