Market Chatter: Microsoft Planning Mandatory Return-to-Office Policy

12:49 PM EDT, 08/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT ) is planning to announce a mandatory return-to-office policy of three days a week at its headquarters in Redmond, Washington, The Verge reported Thursday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The policy will be applicable to employees who reside within 50 miles of Microsoft's ( MSFT ) Redmond campus, the report said.

Some teams might require staff to work four or five days from the office with these decisions expected from the company's executive vice presidents, the report said.

Microsoft ( MSFT ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires
