Market Chatter: Microsoft Raises Xbox Development Kit Price

01:40 PM EDT, 10/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT ) is raising the price of its Xbox Development Kit to $2,000 from $1,500, The Verge reported Tuesday, citing sources familiar with the company's plans.

The new price takes effect immediately in the US, Europe and other markets, the report said.

"The adjustment reflects macroeconomic developments," Microsoft ( MSFT ) said in an announcement reviewed by The Verge.

Microsoft ( MSFT ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
