06:12 AM EDT, 10/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT )-backed (MSFT) OpenAI is exploring new revenue streams, debt collaborations, and additional fundraising under a five-year business plan to meet $1 trillion in spending, the Financial Times reported Wednesday, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter.

The startup is working on deals to serve governments and businesses with additional bespoke products to generate more income from new shopping tools, and new sales from its Sora video creation service and artificial intelligence agents, the report said, citing the people.

OpenAI is also planning to launch new AI infrastructure and intends to roll out consumer hardware products, including a new AI-powered personal assistant device, the FT said.

OpenAI did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
