03:37 PM EDT, 09/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Molson Coors Beverage ( TAP/A ) is scrapping some of its corporate diversity programs, joining other major corporations in pulling back from diversity, equity and inclusion policies, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing a company memo.
The Coors beer maker reportedly told employees that it would no longer tie executive compensation to diversity representation, abandon supplier diversity goals, and end participation in the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index.
Conservative activist Robby Starbuck said that Molson Coors Beverage's ( TAP/A ) decision to implement these changes came after he threatened to expose the company's diversity, equity and inclusion policies, according to a Tuesday post on his X social media account.
Starbuck also claimed credit for corporate diversity policy changes at Ford Motor ( F ) , Lowe's (LOW) and Harley-Davidson ( HOG ) .
Molson Coors Beverage ( TAP/A ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
