Market Chatter: Mondelez Resumes Production of Oreos in Ukraine After Repairing Factory

08:04 AM EDT, 05/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Mondelez International ( MDLZ ) has resumed production of Oreo cookies in Ukraine after rebuilding its plant in the eastern city of Trostyanets, which was badly damaged during Russia's invasion two years ago, Reuters reported Friday.

The Oreo cookies and other chocolates produced at the Ukrainian factory are not being exported to Russia, the report said, citing a company statement.

Mondelez ( MDLZ ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
