08:32 AM EDT, 10/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Morgan Stanley's ( MS ) use of artificial intelligence is making a "profound impact" on software development and changing the way coders do their jobs, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing an interview with Mike Pizzi, the investment bank's global head of technology and operations.
Pizzi said that AI writing more code allows engineers to focus more on code reviews and other complex tasks, according to the report.
There are jobs that would probably be reduced or replaced, but there would be enhanced productivity "that increases what we can deliver," the executive told Bloomberg.
