Market Chatter: Morgan Stanley to Set Up At Least $1 Billion Fund Focused on Energy-Transition Bets

01:41 PM EDT, 03/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Morgan Stanley ( MS ) is looking to raise at least $1 billion to establish a new fund focused on energy-transition bets, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The fund would offer private equity-like returns and be overseen by Morgan Stanley Investment Management's infrastructure team, the report said.

Morgan Stanley ( MS ) declined to comment to Bloomberg.

The firm did not immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.
