02:10 PM EDT, 07/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- National Aeronautics and Space Administration astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore remain optimistic during an extended stay aboard the International Space Station due to technical issues with Boeing's ( BA ) CST-100 Starliner capsule, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.
"I feel confident that if we had to - if there was a problem with the International Space Station - we'd get in our spacecraft and we can undock, talk to our team and figure out the best way to come home," Williams said during a live webcast from space.
NASA and Boeing ( BA ) have yet to determine a revised timeline for the astronauts' return, Bloomberg said.
Boeing ( BA ) and NASA did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
