08:25 AM EST, 02/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- NatWest Group ( NWG ) is facing a potential criminal case over the debanking scandal as Reform UK leader Nigel Farage is considering filing criminal proceedings, Sky News reported Thursday.

According to the report, Farage said his legal team at Grosvenor Law had instructed Chris Daw KC of Lincoln House Chambers to explore a private criminal prosecution.

In response to MT Newswires' request for comment, a NatWest Group ( NWG ) spokesperson said the company does not comment on individual customers.

Farage did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
