01:18 PM EDT, 08/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Netflix ( NFLX ) is in discussions with Major League Baseball about acquiring rights to stream the Home Run Derby, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The company is also exploring opportunities for additional baseball-related programming, the report said.

Walt Disney's ( DIS ) ESPN ( DIS ) unit previously held rights to the Home Run Derby but ended its agreement in February.

The package has attracted interest from multiple parties, including Apple's ( AAPL ) Apple TV+, Fox (FOX, FOXA), and Comcast's ( CMCSA ) NBC unit, Bloomberg said.

Netflix ( NFLX ), MLB, Walt Disney ( DIS ), ESPN ( DIS ), Apple ( AAPL ), Fox, and NBC did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
