Market Chatter: Netflix Ramping up Content Production Efforts in Thailand

06:15 AM EDT, 08/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Netflix ( NFLX ) is boosting its content production footprint in Thailand after investing more than $200 million in that market in the last four years, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday.

The streaming giant plans to create nine original titles from Thailand this year, including zombie-survival film Ziam, according to the report.

"We are ramping up local storytelling with local investments," Bloomberg reported, citing Malobika Banerji, director of content for Southeast Asia at Netflix ( NFLX ).

The company did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
