12:26 PM EDT, 10/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- New York Attorney General Letitia James is investigating Capital One Financial's ( COF ) proposed acquisition of Discover Financial Services ( DFS ) , Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

James asked a state court on Wednesday for permission to issue subpoenas to Capital One as part of the probe, according to the report.

Capital One and Discover did not immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
