12:49 PM EST, 11/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- NextEra Energy ( NEE ) is in advanced talks to acquire closely held Symmetry Energy Solutions for about $800 million, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

A deal could be announced within weeks and would expand NextEra's natural gas capabilities. Symmetry, backed by Energy Capital Partners, supplies more than 5,500 commercial and industrial customers across 34 US states, the report said.

NextEra Energy ( NEE ) and Symmetry Energy Solutions did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment on the matter.
