Market Chatter: Nio Starts Outsourcing Self-Developed Driving Chip to Another Automotive Chip Company
Nov 19, 2025 4:00 AM

06:27 AM EST, 11/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nio (NIO) has started outsourcing its Shenge NX9031 self-developed driving chip to an another automotive chip company, Late Post reported Wednesday, citing unnamed industry insiders.

The move is part of the EV manufacturer's plan to further cut expenses and seek new revenue streams this year as it faces the challenge of huge cash flow and a profitability commitment in Q4, Late Post said.

Nio did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
