07:40 AM EDT, 09/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Northrop Grumman ( NOC ) and Saab could get a 1.2-billion-euro ($1.41 billion) contract from Germany to fit its Eurofighter fleet with equipment required to use advanced missiles to detect and destroy ground-based air defense systems, Bloomberg News reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The contract could also clear the path for cooperation between Sweden and Germany on the development of a new fighter jet that is required to replace the Eurofighter fleet in the 2040s, the unnamed sources told the news outlet.
Northrop, the German defense ministry, and Saab didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
