10:09 AM EST, 02/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) owner Novo Nordisk Foundation will not step in to support health and humanitarian organizations affected by a freeze on US international aid, and will continue to concentrate on its core non-communicable disease program, Reuters reported Monday, citing an official.

The foundation will focus on funding research for treatments for heart disease, diabetes, and risk factors like obesity, the report said.

Novo Nordisk Foundation did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
