08:45 AM EDT, 08/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG) independent growth fund CapitalG and Nvidia ( NVDA ) are in talks to invest in Vast Data as part of a funding round that could value the company at up to $30 billion, Reuters reported Friday, citing two people with knowledge of the matter.
The New York-based firm, which builds data infrastructure for artificial intelligence workloads, is attracting investment from large tech companies, venture capital, and private equity, according to the report.
Nvidia ( NVDA ), an existing investor, and CapitalG are in discussions to join the round, which could close within weeks, Reuters said, citing the sources.
Vast Data generated $200 million in recurring annual revenue as of January and is aiming to reach $600 million next year, Reuters said, citing a separate source.
Alphabet, Nvidia ( NVDA ) and Vast Data did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
