07:58 AM EDT, 07/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) Chief Executive Jensen Huang plans to hold a media briefing in Beijing Wednesday, his second trip to China this year, Reuters reported Sunday, citing a company official.
A bipartisan pair of US senators sent a letter to Huang Friday, urging him to avoid meetings with Chinese firms linked to military or intelligence agencies, as well as with entities named on the US' restricted export list, Reuters reported.
Since 2022, the US government has restricted the export of Nvidia's ( NVDA ) most advanced microchips to China over concerns related to potential military applications. This year, the government also imposed a ban on sales of Nvidia's ( NVDA ) H20 artificial intelligence chips to China, which until the ban had been Nvidia's ( NVDA ) most powerful AI chip cleared for sales to China, Reuters said.
Huang visited China earlier this year, in April.
Nvidia ( NVDA ) did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
