04:48 AM EDT, 03/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) chips are slated to be used by ByteDance outside China to increase its computing power for artificial intelligence research and development plans, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The Chinese parent of popular short video app TikTok is collaborating with Aolani Cloud on plans to use around 500 Nvidia Blackwell computing systems in Malaysia containing about 36,000 B200 chips, the unnamed sources told the publication.
Aolani is purchasing servers from Aivres, according to the report.
Nvidia ( NVDA ), ByteDance, Aolani, and Aivres didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
