Market Chatter: Nvidia Delivers First Batch of H100 Chip Order to Indian Startup

08:56 AM EDT, 03/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) has delivered the first batch of a semiconductor order to Indian cloud startup Yotta Data Services as part of a collaboration to develop new AI capabilities, Bloomberg News reported Monday.

Yotta received the first cargo for an order of more than 4,000 H100 Nvidia ( NVDA ) chips, the report said, adding that the haul will reach about 20,000 by June.

In December, Yotta said it placed a "a large order" for H100 chips as it announced a collaboration with Nvidia ( NVDA ) to develop GPU computing infrastructure for its Shakti-Cloud platform.

"With this collaboration, Yotta becomes the first Nvidia Partner Network cloud partner in India and joins the global NCP list as an Elite Partner," Yotta said in its December statement. The recent Bloomberg report said the startup is expected to feature in Nvidia's ( NVDA ) developer conference Monday in California.

Nvidia ( NVDA ) declined to comment to MT Newswires. Yotta did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Shares of the company were up 2.8% in recent Monday premarket activity.
