Market Chatter: Nvidia, OpenAI, Microsoft Execs Discuss US AI Infrastructure Needs at White House

03:17 PM EDT, 09/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Executives from Nvidia ( NVDA ) , Microsoft ( MSFT ) , Alphabet (GOOG) and OpenAI met at the White House Thursday to discuss infrastructure requirements for artificial intelligence, Bloomberg reported.

The objective was to boost public-private partnerships on AI data center development in the US, the report said, citing people familiar with the meeting.

Google ( GOOG ) President Ruth Porat, Nvidia ( NVDA ) Chief Executive Jensen Huang, Microsoft ( MSFT ) President Brad Smith, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei attended the meeting. Representatives of the energy sector were also present.

The government side was represented by Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, the report said.

Nvidia ( NVDA ) declined MT Newswires' request for comment. Microsoft ( MSFT ), Google ( GOOG ), OpenAI and Antropic did not immediately reply.
