04:19 AM EDT, 09/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) and Abu Dhabi's Technology Innovation Institute have started a joint research lab in the United Arab Emirates to develop advanced artificial intelligence models and robotics platforms, Reuters reported Monday, citing the Abu Dhabi firm.

The deal will allow the Technology Innovation Institute to use the new Thor chip to support its work on robotics and other areas, the news agency reported, citing Chief Executive Najwa Aaraj, adding that the institute has been using the US tech giant's chips to train its own language models.

Nvidia ( NVDA ) didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
