07:54 AM EDT, 05/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) will launch a new, cheaper Blackwell-architecture artificial intelligence chip for China, Reuters reported Saturday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The company plans to start mass production of the graphics processing unit as early as June and is expected to price it between $6,500 and $8,000, two sources said.
The price will be much lower than its restricted H20 model of $10,000 to $12,000, reflecting weaker specifications and simpler manufacturing requirements, according to Reuters.
Nvidia ( NVDA ) is also developing another Blackwell-architecture chip for China that is set to start production as early as September, two sources added.
The company did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment on the matter.
