06:10 AM EDT, 06/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT )-backed (MSFT) OpenAI is considering slashing its prices to win customers from the rival Anthropic, which is backed by Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL), The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday evening, citing people familiar with the matter.

The company is examining price reductions for tokens it uses to bill for its products, ahead of expected cuts by Anthropic, the report said.

OpenAI did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
