01:27 PM EDT, 07/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Oracle (ORCL) and Elon Musk's xAI have ended talks to expand an existing agreement under which xAI rents Nvidia ( NVDA ) AI chips from Oracle, the Information reported Tuesday.

Instead, xAI is buying chips to build its own data center, the news outlet reported, citing people involved in the talks.

Oracle did not immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.
