Market Chatter: Paramount Global's Parent Company Ends Skydance Merger Talks

04:34 PM EDT, 06/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Paramount Global's ( PARAA ) controlling company National Amusements, led by Shari Redstone, ended buyout and merger discussions with Skydance Media, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Redstone will likely focus on the sale of National Amusements without merging Paramount with another firm, the report said, citing some of the people.

Paramount declined to comment, while Skydance and National Amusements did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
